【摘要】:1.1PurposeandApplicationThisguidecoverstheequipment,fieldprocedures,andinterpretationmethodsfortheassessmentofsubsurfaceconditionsusingtheseismicrefractionmethod.Seismicrefractionmeasurementsasdescribedinthisguideareapplicableinmappingsubsurfaceconditionsforvarioususesincludinggeologic,geotechnical,hydrologic,environmental(),mineralexploration,petroleumexploration,andarchaeologicalinvestigations.Theseismicrefractionmethodisusedtomapgeologicconditionsincludingdepthtobedrock,ortowatertable,stratigraphy,lithology,structure,andfracturesorallofthese.Thecalculatedseismicwavevelocityisrelatedtomechanicalmaterialproperties.Therefore,characterizationofthematerial(typeofrock,degreeofweathering,andrippability)ismadeonthebasisofseismicvelocityandothergeologicinformation.1.2Limitations1.2.1Thisguideprovidesanoverviewoftheseismicrefractionmethodusingcompressional(P)waves.Itdoesnotaddressthedetailsoftheseismicrefractiontheory,fieldprocedures,orinterpretationofthedata.Numerousreferencesareincludedforthatpurposeandareconsideredanessentialpartofthisguide.ItisrecommendedthattheuseroftheseismicrefractionmethodbefamiliarwiththerelevantmaterialinthisguideandthereferencescitedinthetextandwithappropriateASTMstandardscitedin.1.2.2Thisguideislimitedtothecommonlyusedapproachtoseismicrefractionmeasurementsmadeonland.Theseismicrefractionmethodcanbeadaptedforanumberofspecialuses,onland,withinaboreholeandonwater.However,adiscussionoftheseotheradaptationsofseismicrefractionmeasurementsisnotincludedinthisguide.1.2.3Therearecertaincasesinwhichshearwavesneedtobemeasuredtosatisfyprojectrequirements.Themeasurementofseismicshearwavesisasubsetofseismicrefraction.ThisguideisnotintendedtoincludethistopicandfocusesonlyonPwavemeasurements.1.2.4Theapproachessuggestedinthisguidefortheseismicrefractionmethodarecommonlyused,widelyaccepted,andproven;however,otherapproachesormodificationstotheseismicrefractionmethodthataretechnicallysoundmaybesubstituted.1.2.5TechnicallimitationsandinterferencesoftheseismicrefractionmethodarediscussedinD420,D653,D2845,D4428,D5088,D5730,D5753,D6235,andD6429.1.3Precautions1.3.1Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisguidetofollowanyprecautionswithintheequipmentmanufacturer''srecommendations,establishappropriatehealthandsafetypractices,andconsiderthesafetyandregulatoryimplicationswhenexplosivesareused.1.3.2Ifthemethodisappliedatsiteswithhazardousmaterials,operations,orequipment,itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisguidetoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofanyregulationspriortouse.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.4Thisguideoffersanorganizedcollectionofinformationoraseriesofoptionsanddoesnotrecommendaspecificcourseofaction.Thisdocumentcannotreplaceeducationorexperienceandshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithprofessionaljudgment.Notallaspectsofthisguidemaybeapplicableinallcircumstances.Thisguideisnotintendedtorepresentorreplacethestandardofcarebywhichtheadequacyofagivenprofessionalservicemustbejudged,norshouldthisdocumentbeappliedwithoutconsiderationofaproject''smanyuniqueaspects.Theword"Standard"inthetitleofthisguidemeansonlythat......
