【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusedtodeterminetheperformanceofafirestopsystemwithrespecttoexposuretoastandardtime-temperaturefiretestandahosestreamtest.Theperformanceofafirestopsystemisdependentuponthespecificassemblyofmaterialstestedincludingthenumber,type,andsizeofpenetrationsandthefloorsorwallsinwhichitisinstalled.Tworatingsareestablishedforeachfirestopsystem.AnFratingisbaseduponflameoccurrenceontheunexposedsurface,whiletheTratingisbaseduponthetemperatureriseaswellasflameoccurrenceontheunexposedsideofthefirestopsystem.Theseratings,togetherwithdetailedperformancedatasuchasthelocationofthrough-openingsandtemperaturesofpenetratingitemsareintendedtobeonefactorinassessingperformanceoffirestopsystems.1.1Thistestmethodisapplicabletofirestopsystemsofvariousmaterialsandconstruction.Firestopsystemsareintendedforuseinopeningsinfire-resistivewallsandfloorsthatareevaluatedinaccordancewithTestMethodsE119.1.2Testsconductedinconformancewiththistestmethodrecordfirestopsystemperformanceduringthetestexposure;butsuchtestsshallnotbeconstruedtodeterminesuitabilityofthefirestopsystemforuseaftertestexposure.1.3Thistestmethodalsomeasurestheresistanceoffirestopsystemstoanexternalforcestimulatedbyahosestream.However,thistestmethodshallnotbeconstruedasdeterminingtheperformanceofthefirestopsystemduringactualfireconditionswhensubjectedtoforcessuchasfailureofcablesupportsystemsandfallingdebris.1.4Theintentofthistestmethodistodevelopdatatoassistothersindeterminingthesuitabilityofthefirestopsforusewherefireresistanceisrequired.1.5Thistestmethoddoesnotapplytomembranepenetrationsofafloor-ceilingassemblyorroof-ceilingassemblythataretestedaspartoftheassemblyinaccordancewithTestMethodsE119.1.6Thistestmethoddoesnotapplytomembranepenetrationsofload-bearingwalls.1.7Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.8Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfire-hazardorfire-riskassessmentofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.1.9Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.10Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredrequirementsofthestandard.
